"The timing couldn't have been more perfect," Maia sighed as she thought of her deviantART pageviews. Only a few-maybe one-until three thousand. Three thousand! And she wasn't even quite a year old on the art website yet!
The only problem? Her laptop was broken. And so was her parents'. Sure, she had her kindle, but it was a pain to write on. She had only that and her phone. Already she missed the familiar sensation of typing on keys.
"What'll I do?" Maia moaned. She closed her eyes and imagined Scu and Double M. They always had answers when she couldn't come up with any on her own. She liked to thing of them as the gateway to her common sense.
A few seconds later, the bluenette smiled. "Having a little trouble?" she asked mockingly. Maia nodded. "What am I supposed to do, guys?" she asked. Double M answered, "It's simple. Since you can't draw like you were planning to, do what you excel just as well at."
Writing. He was talking about writing.
"And," MM quickly added, "since you're out, just text yourself the writing, go on your kindle, copy it onto deviantART--" "And BAM! Problem solved!" Scu cut in, earning a glare from the pinkette next to her.
Maia sighed and nodded. As she vanished her OCs, she whipped out her cellphone and began typing. She knew that her story wouldn't be great...
...but it proved that she would do anything for deviantART.

...And then I get home and my mom casually says, "Oh, and Maia? Your dad fixed your laptop."
I'm glad that the hard drive problem miraculously only lasted 24 hours, but I saved everything on a flashdrive just in case.
I wound up writing this before, during, and after a volleyball game. I didn't just go along with my original plan because it's true...I would do almost anything for my deviantART page and you guys! I've said it before and I'll say it again: Joing deviantART was the best decision I've ever made.

I'm glad that the hard drive problem miraculously only lasted 24 hours, but I saved everything on a flashdrive just in case.
