Literature Text

I close the door, entering silence.
With a sigh, I lean against the cool frame.
They can’t hear me. I can’t hear them.
I am all alone. My friends, my family,
the entire world is on the other side.
I feel my heart slow. I feel my muscles relax.
I am all alone, I repeat to myself.
I smile.
Just what I needed.
I took a small break from writing for a while so I could focus on other things in my life, and I'm finally getting back into it. This poem is for :iconunseen-writers:'s prompt: "Alone." As an introvert, I can say that being alone isn't always a bad thing. I love my friends and family, but being around other people for too long is, well, draining.

Can I share this with Mindy from yoga studio? She's talking a lot about this theme
