Why must we always be moving?

Why can we not treasure this moment?

Can we not just sit here for a second and listen…
…Listen to the rhythmic sound
Of others walking?

Must we go on so long?

Can we just stand still?

Can we stand and close our eyes…
…Keep them shut and listen
To the wind moving through the trees?

Are we made to run forever?

Is there not a moment to simply freeze?

Can we please just step away…
…Far away from the busyness of life
And enjoy this small freedom at last?

We must appreciate the little things.

They exist to make life amazing.

These moments hold the theory…
…The true theory of happiness
So we should halt the world around us.
